There has been a tremendous loss in the melanoma and surgery oncology community. A giant in the field in all aspects, Donald L. Morton, MD, died January 10, 2014 at the age of 79. He was Professor Emeritus in the Department of Surgery, David Geffen School of Medicine, University of California, Los Angeles (UCLA) and at John Wayne Cancer Institute (JWCI), Saint John’s Health Center.
